Hi all ... where are you from?

Hi. I'm Jamie and I'm not a sociologist (I'm a psychologist but don't tell anyone). We've started this site after the popularity of psychexchange.co.uk.

So, welcome to the site - where are you all from and what do you teach? Are you purly a sociology teacher or do you dabble in other subjests?

Hi Jamie,

I am a psychology and sociology teacher in East Sussex. I have found the psychexchange web site so useful for teaching Psychology. I am hoping that this web site will grow to be just as good. I will try and upload some resources after the AS exams next week when hopefully things calm down a bit. I am sure we are all in thinking the same at the moment.

I saw on pychexchange that you were looking for sociology teachers to moderate the sociologyexchange website. I know that was a while ago but if you are still looking let me know.

Fingers crossed for psychology tomorrow and AQA sociology on Monday...

Nicola

Hi all

I am Cath I teach sociology and psychology level 3 at Oldham college. My degrees are in sociology and applied social research but I now teach predominantly psychology. The psychexchange site has been invaluable to me as I initially had very little knowledge of subject. No doubt sociologyexchange will prove to be just as invaluable. I intend to contribute some resources in the near future. Thanks to all invilved.

Hi, my name is John and I teach Sociology and Politics at a sixth form college in Huddersfield. I will post all my stuff on here as a response to the corrupt practice of chief examiners writing textbooks and exam boards endorsing materials that are rubbish. Viva Gramsci.

I am Mark.  I started this journey as a sociology teacher and now teach psychology full time.   I have taught bits of sociology stuff (at GCSE, A Level and undergraduate) and would like to teach more of it.   Even though I love teaching psychology (I love teaching) I would like to do more sociology and probably will do.   I have also taught health and social care and am disappointed that I never taught Politics or Law.

I support Hull City (Hull is where I teach and live) but would happily jump ship if Goole made it into the Premiership.

My favourite bands are Sly And The Family Stone and Blink - maybe – and many in between.
