Helen Gibb's Idea

Idea Details

This idea is from Helen Gibb's (follow me) mind and was lovingly penned on 3 September 2009.

My idea is ...

My idea is :- I heard about This on the radio. There exists apparently such a thing as a lending library of stereotypes. If you live in the great city of London I believe you can order yourself (from a lending library) a stereotype to talk to for an hour.

I thought I might be able to get together with the drama dept (although I think I teach most of them anyway) to see if we can get some budding actors to work on developing a set of stereotypes for my students to interview by way of an introduction to either the social approach or psychopathology. I think perhaps we would work on a model of them being about 80% of the stereotype but they could perhaps describe feelings associated with discrimination. Anyway thought Id share that and perhaps someone with actor connections might run with it before I get around to it if so please let us know how it goes.(possibly a red activity)
